Roots to Agroecology
I walk you through the history and origin of agroecology!
The father of “agroecology”?
The term agroecology was coined in 1930 by B.M. Bensin, a Russian agronomist.
“The term ecology, which is derived from the Greek “home” has been introduced
by botanists who have studied the plants in their natural associations as they
appear in definite geographical regions under varying conditions of climate and
soil. […] I believe that the same methods can be successfully applied to scientific
agriculture or agronomy.”
